TITLE: Radio Staff Engineer

Description: A rare opportunity is available to join a major market radio engineering team to work with some of
the newest state of the art technology at Boston’s Beasley Media Group. Duties include but are not
limited to studio and transmitter maintenance and construction, as well as troubleshooting advanced
RF Systems, and audio routing systems. The ideal candidate will be successful in working well with
the staff, thinking clearly under pressure, and applying creative solutions in a timely matter.
 Minimum seven years of radio engineering experience;
 Knowledge of RF Systems and RF troubleshooting skills;
 Experience with radio studio construction and maintenance;
 Must be able to lift 50 pounds;
 Must be willing to work off hours and be on call;
 Must have your own transportation;
 SBE Certification a plus;
 Ensure compliance with FCC Rules and Regulations;
 Strong communication skills;
 Valid drivers’ license and vehicle insurance are required.

Description: Beasley Media Group’s Boston Market (WMJX-FM, WKLB-FM, WROR-FM, WBOS-FM, and WBQT-FM) has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable/Human Resource Coordinator. This position will be responsible for reviewing invoices and expense reports, assigning general ledger account numbers to invoices, scanning invoices to our corporate office, processing monthly commission reports for national sales client, responding to all vendor inquires and maintaining monthly excel reports for various monthly expenses. This position will also assist the Human Resource Manager with posting all Beasley Boston job postings for EEO compliance, ensuring new hire paperwork is filled out correctly before sending to our corporate office, and filing completed new hire paperwork, along with assisting employees with HR related issues.

 Must have proven working experience as accounts payable clerk/human resource coordinator(EEO experience a plus)
 Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (SAP experience a plus)
 Must be organized with great communication skills
 Must be a team player who can meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment

Street Team (part-time)

MAGIC 106.7 is seeking part-time Street Team members who are interested in learning more about event marketing and the fascinating world of radio broadcasting and promotions. As part of the Street Team, you will work to gain exposure for the radio station at station-produced and/or sponsored events, area concerts, sporting and cultural events and other on-site opportunities relevant to the station’s marketing and sales efforts.

Candidates must be detail oriented, creative, and outgoing. They must have strong communication and organizational skills and must be able to represent the station in a positive manner at events. Candidates should have strong people skills, web/internet knowledge, and must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. All candidates should possess a desire to learn more about promotional/marketing strategies for radio. In order to be considered for the position, candidates must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and must be capable of loading the station vehicle in preparation for events.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up, execution, and breakdown of station appearances;
  • Representation of the station in a positive manner;
  • Maintenance of station vehicle and prize inventory;
  • Interaction with clients at sales appearances;
  • Upholding appropriate station image at all events;
  • Communication with Promotion Director before and after events;
  • Assistance in training interns

Beasley Boston Internships

The Internship Program for Beasley radio stations ALT 92.9 - WBOS-FM, Country 102.5 - WKLB-FM, Magic 106.7 - WMJX-FM, 105.7 - WROR-FM and WBQT HOT 96.9 FM is a non-salaried position* which is designed to give students hands-on experience with the various aspects of major market radio stations.  The program is available to students, working for academic credit, who are able to work 10-15 hours per week for twelve weeks. Interns are trained and supervised by the department manager for the particular station(s) you are assigned (i.e. Sales/Programming Promotions, IT/Engineering).

Interns must be resourceful and willing to initiate projects.  Good communications skills and attention to detail are important.
