Street Team (part-time)

MAGIC 106.7 is seeking part-time Street Team members who are interested in learning more about event marketing and the fascinating world of radio broadcasting and promotions. As part of the Street Team, you will work to gain exposure for the radio station at station-produced and/or sponsored events, area concerts, sporting and cultural events and other on-site opportunities relevant to the station’s marketing and sales efforts.

Candidates must be detail oriented, creative, and outgoing. They must have strong communication and organizational skills and must be able to represent the station in a positive manner at events. Candidates should have strong people skills, web/internet knowledge, and must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. All candidates should possess a desire to learn more about promotional/marketing strategies for radio. In order to be considered for the position, candidates must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and must be capable of loading the station vehicle in preparation for events.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up, execution, and breakdown of station appearances;
  • Representation of the station in a positive manner;
  • Maintenance of station vehicle and prize inventory;
  • Interaction with clients at sales appearances;
  • Upholding appropriate station image at all events;
  • Communication with Promotion Director before and after events;
  • Assistance in training interns

TITLE: Radio Staff Engineer

LOCATION: Boston, MA
Description: A rare opportunity is available to join a major market radio engineering team to work with some of
the newest state of the art technology at Boston’s Beasley Media Group. Duties include but are not
limited to studio and transmitter maintenance and construction, as well as troubleshooting advanced
RF Systems, and audio routing systems. The ideal candidate will be successful in working well with
the staff, thinking clearly under pressure, and applying creative solutions in a timely matter.
Qualifications
 Minimum seven years of radio engineering experience;
 Knowledge of RF Systems and RF troubleshooting skills;
 Experience with radio studio construction and maintenance;
 Must be able to lift 50 pounds;
 Must be willing to work off hours and be on call;
 Must have your own transportation;
 SBE Certification a plus;
 Ensure compliance with FCC Rules and Regulations;
 Strong communication skills;
 Valid drivers’ license and vehicle insurance are required.

Description: WROR's morning show has a rare opportunity for the right person. Our long-time co-host, Wally Brine, has retired. To be clear, we're not looking to replace Wally (because no one can!), but if you have talent that can complement our highly-rated morning show team, we'd like to talk with you.

Qualifications:
 Generate topical content that relates to Boston listeners aged 40+
 Develop a defined role among other show personalities, and participate in real, honest discussions with those personalities and listeners
 Write, create, and produce content such as parody songs and commercials, topical comedy bits, written blogs, and podcasts
 Voice multiple current celebrity impressions
 Watch way too much TV and read way too much pop culture
 Technical production experience (Pro tools, Adobe Audition, or other audio program)

Beasley Boston Internships

The Internship Program for Beasley radio stations ALT 92.9 - WBOS-FM, Country 102.5 - WKLB-FM, Magic 106.7 - WMJX-FM, 105.7 - WROR-FM and WBQT HOT 96.9 FM is a non-salaried position* which is designed to give students hands-on experience with the various aspects of major market radio stations.  The program is available to students, working for academic credit, who are able to work 10-15 hours per week for twelve weeks. Interns are trained and supervised by the department manager for the particular station(s) you are assigned (i.e. Sales/Programming Promotions, IT/Engineering).

Interns must be resourceful and willing to initiate projects.  Good communications skills and attention to detail are important.

Promotion Coordinator

(Full-time)

Beasley Media Group, Inc is hiring a full-time Promotions Coordinator for HOT 96.9 & MAGIC 106.7.  If you’re creative, energetic, upbeat, organized and can juggle multiple projects at once and excel at all of them, we want to hear from you!

This individual will report directly to each radio station’s Director of Marketing & Promotions, and will be responsible for scheduling and planning station appearances and other promotional activities. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:

  • Organize and maintain promotional supplies/giveaways
  • Hire and train entry level Promotions Staff
  • Serve as an ambassador for the radio station
  • Website maintenance
  • Generating online content
  • Assist the sales department with client promotions from creation to execution

Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of radio promotional experience and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. A flexible schedule is required, including some nights and weekends. Excellent communications skills, writing skills and creativity are integral to this position. Photoshop experience is preferred.
