Michael Jackson and CBS are teaming up this Halloween for a spooky special... and Quentin Tarantino has a new movie about the Manson Family Murders!

Uh oh — Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest's days as co-hosts might be numbered! It’s only been a few months since Seacrest joined LIVE! after a year-long search but now there is word that ratings are falling. Kelly was completely involved and wanted Ryan in the seat but the network is concerned since the ratings in May when he joined were are said to be 33% lower than the same time last year when Michael Strahan was in the seat.

Quentin Tarantino’s next film will be a drama revolving around the Manson Family murders- and Tarantino met with Margot Robbie to potentially play Sharon Tate, the actress wife of director Roman Polanski who was slain in 1969. Samuel L. Jackson likely also will play a lead in the film- and Brad Pitt is being courted to play the detective investigating the murder… as well as possibly Jennifer Lawrence.

The longtime bestselling self-help book Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus will be turned into a movie. The book was released in 1992 and became the No. 1 bestselling hardcover book of the 1990s. The book discusses psychological differences between the sexes using the common metaphor that the title describes, that men and women are from different planets.

The head of sports marketing for PepsiCo cleared up a rumor that Britney Spears, who performed at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2001, might be returning to football’s biggest stage in 2018. Pepsi sponsors the halftime show and executive Justin Toman said, “I can tell you it’s not Britney [Spears]. We’ll reveal in due time,” adding that performer “rumors always start around this time.”

Late music great Michael Jackson, who died at the age of 50 in 2009, will be the central piece of an upcoming Halloween TV special from CBS, entitled “Michael Jackson’s Halloween.” CBS has teamed up with the icon’s estate for the special, which will tap into Jackson’s discography and feature an animated version of him as well.
