Sue's Entertainment Update: GoT Sunday Night... Emmy Nods... and Kid Rock Running For U.S. Senate!

Winter has finally arrived... HBO's 7th season of Game of Thrones premieres Sunday night... and the 2017 Emmy Nods were announced!

Emmy Award nominees were announced yesterday. ‘‘Saturday Night Live’’ and the sci-fi drama ‘‘Westworld’’ are at the top with 22 bids each. SNL received nods for its cast, hosts, and guest stars, including one to Alec Baldwin for his portrayal of President Trump and Melissa McCarthy for her portrayal of Sean Spicer. Other leading nominees include ‘‘Stranger Things’’ with 18 nominations, ‘‘Veep’’ with 17, and ‘‘Big Little Lies’’ and ‘‘Fargo’’ with 16 each. Breakout drama ‘‘This is Us’’ received 11 nominations. The Emmy Awards will be handed out on September 17th, and hosted by Stephen Colbert.

Well first we’ve got the Rock perhaps running for President and now KID Rock Says He’s Running For The US Senate in Michigan. He confirmed that the website “KidRockForSenate.com” is real and to stay tuned for a major announcement. Republicans in Michigan reportedly want Rock to run on the GOP ticket in 2018 to challenge the incumbent Democrat.

Beyoncé Is The Highest Paid Artist, Billboard released it’s list, she’s at the top with 62 million last year. Speaking of Beyonce, she’s breaking the Internet with her picture on Instagram. She’s with her brand new twins and the photo has already gotten 4.3 million likes.

New Kid On The Block Donnie Wahlberg says he always treats the staff at Waffle House like royalty.  That's why he left a two thousand dollar tip on his 82-dollar bill at a Waffle House in Charlotte, North Carolina Wed night. He posted a picture of the receipt on Facebook and said, "My mom waited tables, and my dad tended bars. So, when I walk into a WaffleHouse, and the staff treats me like a king, you better believe I treat them like queens!"

Season 8 of AMC’s The Walking Dead has temporarily stopped filming after a stuntman was seriously injured on the show’s Atlanta set on Wednesday. The man fell more than 20 feet onto a concrete floor, suffering head injuries. The cast and crew all wishing him well, hoping he’ll recover.
