American Girl is Bringing Back One of Your Childhood Favorites

When we were kids, American Girl was totally a status symbol.

Sure, it was great to have one of these extremely pricey dolls, but if you had Samantha AND Molly? Whoa. Stand back. Now the company is bringing back one of their most popular dolls, much to the delight of both long-time and new fans.

Felicity Merriman, the redhead who grew up in Colonial Williamsburg, will make her triumphant return after a five-year stint in retirement.

The brand occasionally retires and then re-releases its dolls. The same thing happened with World War II-era doll Samantha Parkington. Felicity's re-entry into the world includes a makeover. She's ditched her traditional patterned dress and bonnet. Now fans will see her sporting a teal dress with a gold front, as well as a straw hat.

Hopefully this will bring the stories back to the new little girls that have yet to experience them.
