For the first time on Tuesday, riders from the general public got a chance to ride in a self-driving car on a normal drive through the city. It’s happening in Tempe, Arizona, a city about the size of Worcester just east of Phoenix. There are a lot of techie stories about how this works, but here’s a video and a story that shows what it looks and feels like, just to be a normal passenger in a self-driving car.
They’ve been testing self-driving cars this year in a small area of the Seaport district. I wonder when we’ll be able to ride them around Boston for real?
