For anyone who grew up with Nickelodeon in the '80s or '90s, there's probably a good chance you lost countless hours watching Double Dare , the network's seminal game show hosted by Marc Summers.
The original series ran from 1986 to 1993, with subsequent versions, Family Double Dare and Double Dare 2000, but it’s now been 16 years since Summers has pitted red and blue teams against one another. But that’s all about to change!
For one night only, Nickelodeon and Summers are bringing back Double Dare at San Diego Comic-Con. The network had already promised a nostalgia-filled presence at the convention, which it calls an “immersive retro experience,” with treasures, artifacts and trivia from the network’s ’90s series and an opportunity to take a photo with the Double Darenose. Now lucky attendees will actually get to sit through a live episode of the show on July 22. Can’t be there?
The event will be streamed live on “The Splat’s” Facebook for fans at home.
