Dancing With The Stars Disney Night, Harry Potter Mania Continues, Bryan Adams Cancelled Concert To Protest New State Law & 2016 Billboard Music Award Nominees Announced

Donald Trump’s ex Marla Maples got the boot on Dancing with the Stars last night. It was Disney night so all the couples performed to our favorite Disney classics - the costumes and set were outrageous, really great! Good Morning America’s Ginger Zee got very high marks for her fox trot as Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Our boy Doug Flutie still alive, although he had the night's lowest score - 24 out of a possible 40. Yikes!

Almost 20 years after the first book published, Harry Potter mania is still going strong. There's a new theme park that opened last week, and over the weekend the first full trailer for a Harry Potter prequel Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was unveiled. The trailer in just two days, has millions of YouTube views. Fantastic Beasts hits theaters November 18th.

First Bruce Springsteen and now Bryan Adams. Adams canceled a concert scheduled for April 14 in Mississippi to protest a new state law that he says is discriminatory, denying certain people civil rights due to their sexual orientation. The law is part of a wave of legislation seen as anti-gay that is causing a lot of artists to use their influence to push back.  Bruce Springsteen cancelled a concert in North Carolina earlier this week to protest the so-called “bathroom bill.”

The 2016 Billboard Music Award nominees were announced yesterday. The Weeknd receiving 19 nominations, Justin Bieber scored 12, and Drake and Fetty Wap each got 11 nods. Adele is a finalist in 8 categories and is a contender to earn the most Billboard Music Awards wins of any artist in history, a record currently held by Taylor Swift, who has 20 wins. The show airs on ABC May 22nd.
