Leave it to Kerry Washington to bring the honesty!
AdWeek released an article with Kerry, and when she saw the photo, she felt the need to post it with an explanation as to why she felt the need to point out she was vastly photoshopped.
She lead no disrespect to the magazine, but wrote the following:
"I was taken aback by the cover.... Look, I'm no stranger to Photoshopping. It happens a lot. In a way, we have become a society of picture adjusters - who doesn't love a filter?!? And I don't always take these adjustments to task but I have had the opportunity to address the impact of my altered image in the past and I think it's a valuable conversation. Yesterday, however, I just felt weary. It felt strange to look at a picture of myself that is so different from what I look like when I look in the mirror. It's an unfortunate feeling."
We can understand why. At least to us, it doesn't look like Kerry at all. What do you think? See the cover, and her full statement below.
Kerry isn't the first to call out being photoshopped. Zendaya has also been very open about how she really looks versus what the magazines portray. Do you think they go too far sometimes?
