5 Things You Need To Know In Pop Culture Today!

Here's a rundown of what's in the Pop Culture news this morning, corralled and curated for your viewing pleasure!

Shots Fired Between Burger King And Wendy's!

Fifty Shades of Burgers flew when fast food chain Wendy's tweeted about their "4 for $4" deal. Burger King retaliated, sharing a tweet of their own, a "5 for $4" deal, turning the broiler up on the competition. Wendy's may have won the deal though, when a fan asked how they'd fire back. Wendy's Social Response? "Edible food." BK, I think something is burning in your kitchen.

X-Files Returns With Season 10

Rave reviews, but also mixed reviews from the new season of the X-Files with returning Scully and Mulder. The pair begin separated, and then are brought back together to meet with Joel McHale, who plays a paranoid government conspiracy theorist. The mixed reviews come in when places like The Daily Voice News tie in all of the political influence of the episode, during a presidential campaign year. One of the lines from the show, according to TDVN,  says “They police us and spy on us and tell us it makes us safer. We have never been in more danger.” Heavy stuff. All and all, we're just glad Scully and Mulder are back together.

Blake Got Gwen A Horse (We Assume)

Gwen Stefani posted this picture of her new horse with the hashtag #bestpresentever. We're guessing Blake Shelton is behind this country steed! According to E!, once things were coming to a head with the pair, Adam Levine's wife and VS Model Behati Prinsloo shared on Watch What Happens Live that she and Adam sort of called it, that they would eventually fall for each other. E! quotes her saying "We kind of called it ahead of time just because they were both kind of going through a moment. They're so different but so perfect for each other, so I didn't know, but I felt it." Let's hope we see some vids of Gwen riding!

There's A Big Bang With Friends Pic And You've Got To See It!

Sans Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing) and Kunal Nayyar (Raj Koothrappali), the cast of Friends unites with The Big Bang Theory cast and takes the most epic pic ever. Can we just say this totally dethroned that one selfie Ellen DeGeneres took before? Because with all of these pals together, this is one amazing crew of talent! The group united for the upcoming James Burrows special, who's being honored for writing some of the best episodes of Friends, Big BangCheers, and more. Well let's just say, Burrows is one lucky man.
