The star of The Danish Girl and the upcoming Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them star knows what it's like to struggle. That being so, he gives back where he can - especially for London.
Eddie Redmayne spoke with GQ UK for their new quarterly, and admitted that he has helped pay rent for students (COMPLETE STRANGER STUDENTS) because it's expensive to live in London.
"The greatest privilege that I had was that my parents lived in London. So when I was out of university and out of work for a year, working in a pub, I didn't pay rent. And I get letters from people trying to go to drama school and needing to pay their rent. And so that's something I occasionally do. It's impossibly expensive to live in London."
The average price of rent in London, according to MTV.com is about $3,783.45 American. OUCH.
So thank you, Eddie, for being a miraculous human being.
