The Emmy's Dish: Who Will Be Served, And Who Will Be Spit Out?

Ah, the Emmy's. Hollywood's golden TV Prom. There will be dresses! There will be disses! There will be winners, and of course, the losers. But while everyone is just stating what they think will happen, we're going to tell you WHY we think it will happen! Check out some of our in depth predictions below:

“Better Call Saul”
“Downton Abbey”
“Game of Thrones”
“House of Cards”
“Mad Men”
“Orange is the New Black”

Who We See Winning: Mad Men

The wrap up of the critically acclaimed Mad Men will be the final win for the show. It will be astounding if they don't get the bid, because normally when you're wrapping up a show that's been so well put together like Mad Men, they want to honor it out after the final.

Who We Wish Would Win: House of Cards

Going up against Mad Men while the show is sort of still a new commodity would be a tremendous defeat, but honestly, we just can't help but love to hate Kevin Spacey's character. Frank Underwood goes through so many different transitions, and all the while remains the same ol' sinister guy trying to take over the world.

“Modern Family”
“Parks and Recreation”
“Silicon Valley”
“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”

Who We See Winning/ Who We Wish Would Win: Modern Family

Modern Family normally cleans up in the categories it is presented with a nomination for having the vivacious cast, ridiculous banter, and the parallels of modern life, and personally, we've got no argument with that. So let them win, we say!

Bob Odenkirk, “Better Call Saul”
Kyle Chandler, “Bloodline”
Kevin Spacey, “House of Cards”
Jon Hamm, “Mad Men”
Jeff Daniels, “The Newsroom”
Liev Schreiber, “Ray Donovan”

Who We See Winning/ Who We Wish Would Win: Jon Hamm

It's an absolute shame that Jon Hamm has never won for his character Don Draper. He has embodied, lived, breathed, and executed the story line of Mad Men for years, and has made the case that even though Don Draper was characteristically a pig/scoundrel, he was the hottest, most well dressed, most intelligent man out there. Being that Mad Men has come to a close, he will, could, should, and better win.

Taraji P. Henson, “Empire”
Claire Danes, “Homeland”
Viola Davis, “How to Get Away with Murder”
Tatiana Maslany, “Orphan Black”
Elisabeth Moss, “Mad Men”
Robin Wright, “House of Cards”

Who We See Winning: Taraji P. Henson

When you think Empire, there is only one name that strikes fear in the form of a woman, and that is Cookie Lyon. She is ruthless, sexy, and unstoppable. Taraji P. Henson delivers the exact expression of what a LEAD ACTRESS is, and deserves that crown.

Who We Wish Would Win: Viola Davis

How To Get Away With Murder is such an underrated show. The twists and turns are intensified, and you wouldn't expect a class full of college students to be so ruthless. But none of that, I repeat, NONE would be believable without the performance of Viola Davis. She demands respect, demands your attention, and every word that she says is so believable, you almost feel you were there. And just by this scene below, she doesn't even have to say a word, and is still the most intense actress out there:

Anthony Anderson, “black-ish”
Matt LeBlanc, “Episodes”
Don Cheadle, “House of Lies”
Will Forte, “The Last Man On Earth”
Louis C.K., “Louie”
William H. Macy, “Shameless”
Jeffrey Tambor, “Transparent”

Who We See Winning: William H. Macy

Though you don't always think of WHM as a comedy guy, when it comes to being a Hollywood darling, he's got that rocking for him.

Who We Wish Would Win: Jeffrey Tambor

We wouldn't necessarily consider Transparent a comedy, but going by how stacked the drama category is this year, we'd hope that Tambor would get the nod.

Lisa Kudrow, “The Comeback”
Lily Tomlin, “Grace And Frankie”
Amy Schumer, “Inside Amy Schumer”
Edie Falco, “Nurse Jackie”
Amy Poehler, “Parks And Recreation”
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, “Veep”

Who We See Winning: Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Another darling who's always loved, JLD will 99% be the winner on this one. (NSFW Language Clip)

Who We Wish Would Win: Amy Schumer

Because. She. Is. A. Genius.

Jonathan Banks, “Better Call Saul”
Ben Mendelsohn, “Bloodline”
Jim Carter, “Downton Abbey”
Peter Dinklage, “Game Of Thrones”
Alan Cumming, “The Good Wife”
Michael Kelly, “House Of Cards”

Who We See Winning/Who We Wish Would Win: Peter Dinklage

There's something very special about a character who rises up out of the main characters of their seasons and stands out. Tyrion Lannister is that character in Game of Thrones. Aside from Jon Snow, Tyrion is the most well known character - and is the most wise, as you see in the clip below:

Joanne Froggatt, “Downton Abbey”
Lena Headey, “Game Of Thrones”
Emilia Clarke, “Game Of Thrones”
Christine Baranski, “The Good Wife”
Christina Hendricks, “Mad Men”
Uzo Aduba, “Orange Is The New Black"

Who We See Winning: Uzo Aduba

Because anyone who could be that convincing in being psycho deserves all the awards.

Who We Think Should Win: Lena Hedley

Even though Lena did not go full body because she was pregnant at the time, this scene from Game of Thrones was one of the biggest OH MY GOD moments of the series. We have included the link in the body text, but due to nudity and vulgar language content, we will not embed here.

Andre Braugher, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”
Adam Driver, “Girls”
Keegan-Michael Key, “Key & Peele”
Ty Burrell, “Modern Family”
Tituss Burgess, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”
Tony Hale, “Veep”

Who We See Winning / Who We Think Should Win: Tituss Burgess

His comedic performance is refreshing and ridiculous, but the singing on it's own really should be commended.

Mayim Bialik, “The Big Bang Theory”
Niecy Nash, “Getting On”
Julie Bowen, “Modern Family”
Allison Janney, “Mom”
Kate McKinnon “Saturday Night Live”
Gaby Hoffmann, “Transparent”
Jane Krakowski, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”
Anna Chlumsky, “Veep”

Who We See Winning/Who We Think Should Win: Allison Janney

Because she cleans up at these! She's a hilarious woman, but she can play both serious and ridiculous. This time, she's going with ridiculous with Mom. Her comedic delivery and chemistry with Anna Faris is SPOT ON.
