As kids, I'm sure we wanted this type of allowance!
E!Online reports that Prince William and Princess Kate still get an allowance despite being employed for royal trips and events that they must attend.
The direct quote from E! states "Per the report, £2.965 million (the equivalent of about $4.667 million) in funds are allocated toward funding the "official activities" of William, Kate and Harry. The palace didn't provide a breakdown of exactly how these funds are spent (i.e. how much goes towards paying staff, travel costs, wardrobe, etc.)."
A lot of their funding comes from the estate itself, and it covers all of those involved in their public and charity work for Charles, Camilla, William, Harry, and Kate, which is quite a bit of money if you ask me!
According to DiscoveryFinance.com, the jobs Prince William and Prince Harry hold (both in armed forces) get about a $60,000 salary, which if any of you know what it's like in Middle Class life, it's not a ton of money for a full family unless both heads of household are making that a year.
It just goes to show that sometimes even the royals need help from their parents!
