As you now probably know (unless you live under a rock), Rumer Willis, child of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore (and gosh, does she look it!) has won Dancing with the Stars Season 20 with her partner and first time winner Val Chmerkovskiy.
Given the fact that there were so many talented dancers this round, we felt like we should highlight some of the most sensational dances performed during the season!
Redfoo & Emma Slater
Poor Redfoo. Apparently his wiggles weren’t enough to get him to the finals, but he managed to bring to life “My Sharona” into a high-energy jive. For RedFoo, who is known for his crazy antics and party style, a jive was perfect for his personality.
Nastia Liukin & Derek Hough – Argentine Tango
You cannot have a top 5 list without Derek Hough for DWTS, first of all. Second, he is the KING of Argentine Tango. Nastia chose this as her “Important Moment” Dance because she represented the USA in Beijing as a Gymnast.
Last night’s finale was quite a spectacle to say the least, but as a veteran DWTS nerd, I must say that their staged sequences have gotten to be epic. It’s hard to bring all 12 contestants and their partners together for a dance, especially with different styles, but this scene makes it work with all the pros in the mix. P.S. Do you think Carrie Ann, Len, Bruno, and Julianne need those drinks to get through another dance from Shark’s Robert Herjavic?
Willow Shields & Mark Ballas – Foxtrot
Talk about some theatrics! Mark Ballas is known for pushing the envelope in his sets and displays, but this played out perfect as Willow can EASILY pass for Alice. And A+ to whoever did his special effect Mad Hatter makeup. Cast them for the “Through the Looking Glass” reboot that I’m sure Hollywood will look for next!
Riker Lynch & Allison Holker – Paso Doble
Normally a paso is not considered a fan favorite due to it’s technical nature, but HOLY GUACAMOLE is that Johnny Depp? Nope, that’s Riker Lynch in full Pirates of the Caribbean garb. With Allison as a great stand in for Elizabeth Swan, Captain Jack sets the seas high for his competition. Easy to see why he was a finalist!
What was your favorite?
Amy Cooper is a writer and pop culture fact nerd, and on multiple occasions has been referred to as a “Walking iPod.”
