Christina Aguilera Teases Guest Stint on “Nashville”

Christina Aguilera is going country, but it’s all for show.

Xtina, whose acting credits are really limited to “Burlesque” and a cameo as herself in “Get Him to the Greek,” will recur on “Nashville” later this season.

On the ABC sudser, she’ll play pop star Jade St. John, which is second only to Courtney Love’s Elle Dallas from “Empire” as the most awesomely bad (fake) celebrity moniker of the current TV season.

E! Online reports that Hayden Panettiere’s Juliette Barnes will give Jade “a smack down of the ages… one that leaves the pop star crying!”

Not only that, but she might be starting a fling with Luke Wheeler (Will Chase).

Unless it’s a bait-and-switch, Christina will be going back to brunette for the role, as she teased with an on-set photo this week.

"Look at all that hair! Having lots of fun on the set of . More to come!" she wrote, along with a photo of curly brown hair from the back.

Aside from “Nashville,” she’s still putting up a good fight against her fellow coaches on NBC’s “The Voice.”

She returned for the new cycle after taking the fall season off, because she was pregnant with her daughter, Summer Rain.
