Carrie Underwood knows how to make an announcement.
In one fell swoop, the “American Idol” singer confirmed her baby’s birth, released his name – Isaiah – and shared the first image of her little bundle of joy.

Isaiah is Carrie’s first child with her husband, NHL star Mike Fisher. She made her pregnancy announcement over Labor Day weekend last year, using her two dogs, Ace and Penny, to spread the news.
She dressed them up in t-shirts that read, “I’m going to be a big brother” and “I’m going to be a big sister.”
“In honor of ‘Labor’ Day, Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn’t be happier…” she captioned the photo.
Carrie hasn’t released a studio LP in a few years, but she can be partially credited for the rebirth of live musicals on TV.
The success of her “Sound of Music” update around Christmas 2013 was followed by NBC’s “Peter Pan Live” and, this summer, FOX will air “Grease Live” with Vanessa Hudgens and Julianne Hough.
Congrats to Carrie and Mike! Leave your well-wishes for them in the comments!
