“You wanted to see Tomorrowland. Here it comes.”
That’s George Clooney’s warning in Disney’s “Tomorrowland,” and it’s also a perfect invitation to check out the film’s new trailer.
Walt Disney Studios unveiled the full trailer on Monday, after director Brad Bird and producer Damon Lindelof (“Lost”) did a Q&A with fans.
Arriving in time for Memorial Day, Britt Robertson plays a young woman who finds a pin that brings her to an alternate world.
That much was clear from previous teasers, in which Clooney was conspicuously absent.
But with the newly released footage, it seems that in her research into the place known as Tomorrowland, she happens upon a curmudgeon (Clooney) who holds to key to the origins.
“House” star Hugh Laurie briefly pops up in a villainous turn, opposing Clooney's plan to "fix the future."
