If you happen to morph into drool mode just thinking about slurping a hot bowl of ramen noodles and devouring juicy burgers, I may have the perfect food for you! Introducing…THE RAMEN BURGER! Yes, that’s right…a juicy meat patty sandwiched between two fried ramen noodle “buns.” This unique concoction made its debut in Brooklyn last summer, invented by a ramen blogger turned ramen chef, Keizo Shimamoto.
I haven’t tried this just yet, but my sister Jennifer did last night at a wonderful little restaurant in Allston/Brighton called Ki Bistro. This particular burger (pictured above) is called the Banh Mi burger: angus ground beef with pickled vegetables, cilantro, jalapeno pepper and fried egg between 2 irresistable ramen buns.
